We had a sizzling couple and incredible scenery to work with for Katie and Aaron’s wedding. Everywhere we turned at the Sanctuary Golf Course there were incredible views: we could shoot almost anywhere with an amazing background and we had a terrific time working alongside our new friends at Artessa Photography during the creative session out on the course.

Wedding film at Boettcher Mansion, Lookout Mountain | Golden, CO
We traveled to the top of Lookout Mountain, to the historic Boettcher Mansion on a day that reached well into the 100s for the production of Caitlin and Ben’s wedding. From the stunning scenery all around us to a live performance by The Fever at the reception, their wedding was packed with eye candy and entertainment! We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

Wedding at J.W. Marriott Cherry Creek | Denver, CO
“We now pronounce ourselves husband and wife!” These were words that Katie and Michael each exclaimed just before their first kiss as a married couple. Their ceremony and reception took place at the J.W. Marriott Hotel. While Katie and Michael met in high school, they didn’t begin dating until they reconnected in college.
While the wind was strong throughout Katie and Michael’s ceremony at the J.W. Marriott, that didn’t stop them from joining us for some creative shots out in the Cherry Creek area. They were so excited to be together and share the moment that they didn’t even seem to notice any occasional gusts of wind. Their carefree personalities continued throughout the wedding and helped set the mood for a fun night of partying that capped off an exciting day of filming for us.

Growing Families: Mai and Jenny :: Same Day Edit

Mai and Jenny’s wedding was one of the hardest days work that we’ve ever put in! Two family ceremonies, a traditional ceremony at foothills monastery and a big reception downtown at the Seawall Ballroom led to an entire day of filming.
Mai and Jenny have been together for 11 years, and the commitment and love that they share was obvious to everyone who attended. Their wedding was not only a coming together of husband and wife, but of two families celebrating the creation of a new bond between one another. We were honored to be able to create a Same Day Edit of their wedding that was shown during their reception.
This is the video that was shown at their reception at the Seawall Ballroom, only minor color corrections have been made. Same Day Edits provide great entertainment for your reception guests and may be added on to our films a la carte or purchased alone. Not all weddings will accommodate a Same Day Edit: please contact us for more information regarding your specific wedding.

City Park Save the Date – Briana and James

Save the Dates are always fun and more laid back for me. The couples are usually more relaxed than on their wedding day and you can really feel their connection. I also get the chance to direct a bit more and have more time to setup some creative shots.
I had the honor of filming my girlfriend’s sister’s Save the Date a few months ago at City Park. Briana and James’ really have that “fairy tale story.” After meeting at Grandview high school in Colorado and attending senior prom together; Bri and James went their separate ways to attend college but each found their way back home where they randomly met again at the grocery store. From then on, they have been together.
Enjoy their Save the Date, I’m thrilled with how it turned out, and look out for their Wedding Teaser coming up in the next few months.

This proved to be a challenging wedding for us: the entire ceremony was in Korean. The elegance and beauty of the wedding combined with the Korean language, however, helped inspire me to create a more visual Wedding Film Teaser for Hee and Chang. The lighting design for the bride’s entrance was truly spectacular and really brought her to the focus of everyone’s attention. The traditional Korean ceremony followed the more contemporary ceremony and really allowed the families to become a part of the wedding celebration. Thanks for letting us share in your special day, Hee and Chang!

Beautiful September, Mountain Wedding in Vail

September is a beautiful month in Colorado and a great time for a destination wedding in the mountains. Shaina and Zach were married at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail. The large A-Frame style, timber and stone cabin is a grand setting for a wedding. After an intimate ceremony with Shaina and Zach sharing their own hand-written vows, we spent some time shooting a great creative session with Chris Schneider down by the Eagle River.
John Murray of My Jammin DJ’s got the reception rockin’ with an amazing display of sound and lights. The Donovan Pavilion is an amazing setting for a wedding and we are very grateful to have captured such an amazing couple’s wedding there. Congratulations Shaina and Zach, thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding!

Always learning…
They say, you’re never too old to stop learning. That’s certainly the case, and is no exception for event filmmakers. Last week we gathered with filmmakers from all over the world at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina for our industries annual conference, In[Focus]. The event is four days of networking workshops, seminars and trade shows. This was our first year at the event, and it has inspired us, and educated us to take our work to the next level and continue creating the best wedding films possible.
We had a great time at In[Focus] 2012 and made some great friends and collaborated with event filmmakers around the country. We’re looking forward to going to the event again next year and increasing our potential even more.
